Donations – Flower Grant Program

We are trying something new this year. All our donations for the year will be done through our flower grant program. Complete an application by January 31st and awards will be announced in early February. An application is available in the store.

Holiday Season

Yes, it is here again! Full steam ahead to Christmas! As i start to think about all the things that get jammed in our schedule this time of year, I just want to remind everyone to take some time out and just enjoy! One of my favorite things to do this time of year here in Williamsburg is to sneak away for an afternoon and walk in the Historic Area of Colonial Williamsburg. The Christmas decorations always put me back in the right frame of mind to what the holiday season is all about….being thankful for what we have and those good people around us and wonderful expectations for the new year!

What’s old is new again! A concept we LOVE at Schmidt’s ! We are seeing lots of vintage containers being used not only for events but also for the everyday giving. The concept of recycling is something we have always embraced so we love this trend! We have had the pleasure of filling many a container that has been passed down from generation to generation, but we have also designed flowers to fill a vintage cheese box or a wine crate.
